Appointment information
When you arrive for your appointment, please report to the reception desk and inform our reception staff of your arrival. Please also advise our team if the problem is urgent and requires immediate attention.
Standard appointments are approximately 15 minutes long. We understand that on some occasions you may require a longer consultation. If this is the case, please advise reception when booking your appointment, or select long consult when booking online.
Long consults are approximately 30 minutes long and are necessary when booking in for medical assessments, insurance paperwork, driving medical assessments, and full medical examinations.
If you or a family member require an interpreter service, we can organise this for you; please let us know when making your appointment.
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please notify us at least two hours before your appointment, so that we may allot the time to another person.
Fees
Blackmans Bay Health is a mixed billing practice. Appointments are to be paid for at the time of consultation. We are able to process your Medicare rebate on your behalf at the time of consultation providing you have a EFTPOS debit card with you.

Please note: Item numbers not listed above, may have a higher upfront cost, however the out of pocket gap will remain consistent with the length of consultation.
Medical Procedures have an out of pocket Procedure Fee starting from $100. The procedure fee may vary depending on the complexity of the procedure. All procedure fees will be discussed with you by your doctor at at your inital consultation, prior to any procedure appointments.
*After Medicare rebate. If you don’t have Medicare, the out of pocket gap will vary depending on your health fund. Please contact your health fund to find out your rebate information.
